UX Design

A comprehesive visual redesign of an existing Drupal site in the College of Arts & Sciences Department Web Framework. I led the department stakeholders through the process of identifying departmental objectives, selecting new layouts and imagery, and reorganizing the site to improve usability and efficiency. Then I configured the site to support the selected theme and tweaked front-end code and image assets as necessary.

The 30th site to launch in our series of Department Web Framework sites at the University of Washington College of Arts and Sciences. I faciliated the visual design process, creating mockups and guiding the client through selecting images and messaging for the front page. I also provided guidance to the lead developer throughout the project, advised on navigation and information architecture, and ensured standards of quality were met.

I provided guidance to the lead developer to keep the project running smoothly, work through key decisions with the clients, and maintain standards of quality. I also facilitated the visual design process, wrote front-end code to extend the theme, and guided the clients through selecting images and messages for the front page.

The 26th site to launch in our series of Department Web Framework sites at the University of Washington College of Arts and Sciences.  We partnered with faculty from the School to create a unique visual design, but the site relies on the same backend as other framework sites. I provided project management, information design, content migration, and site configuration, while another developer handled the theme and front-end development.
